- Wisconsin Elections Archive
- integrated, official election results at the reporting unit and aggregated to municipalities, minor civil divisions, and counties
- matched to unique Census geography codes
- A version of Milwaukee’s Master Property File (MPROP) with landlord network codes
- This is the data underpinning the Milwaukee Property Ownership Network website.
- It is a version of the MPROP file limited to residential landlords, which includes codes linking landlords across different legal names (e.g. LLCs)
- Updated daily
- Historic Wisconsin election results aggregated into current state legislative district boundaries.
- Past elections were held under different districts, and the wards used in those elections often straddled the lines of the new districts. To create these files, I used crosswalks to disaggregated old ward or reporting unit election results into the new district boundaries. Allocated votes may be fractional.
- Elections included: 2025 state supreme court, 2024 state legislative, 2012-2022 races for president, governor, and US senator
- The data is available in 3 formats
- long format. 1 row for every district and election, with columns for total votes, Democratic votes, Republican votes, Democratic percent of the 2-party vote, and margin (calculated as Democratic % of the total vote minus Republican % of the total vote).
- wide format, Democratic % of the 2-party vote. In this file each election is its own column, with the column containing the Democratic candidate’s share of the 2-party vote.
- wide format, margin. In this file each election is its own column, with the column containing the margin, calculated this way:
(Dem votes / total votes - Rep votes / votal votes) * 100.
- The data includes the 2025 Wisconsin Supreme Court election, which was officially nonpartisan. To match the data scheme used in these files, I label Susan Crawford a Democrat and Brad Schimel a Republican.
- The file uses the following abbreviations:
- WSA = Wisconsin State Assembly
- WSS = Wisconsin State Senate
- WSC = Wisconsin Supreme Court
- PRE = President
- GOV = Governor
- USS = US Senator
